Heather Barton, LVT*
Heather has been with Farrell Animal Hospital since February 1994.
Heather was born in Ft. Worth, Texas. She graduated from Lamar High School in Arlington and attended Texas Tech University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Zoology in 1988. She worked in the veterinary field for several years before beginning work at Farrell Animal Hospital in February 1994. Heather became a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in June 1995. She lives in Arlington with her dog Khaos, and her cat Kaleb. In her spare time, Heather plays competitive soccer on numerous teams throughout the metroplex. (She’s really good!)
Kristen Cline, LVT*
Kristen has been with Farrell Animal Hospital since August 1998. She grew up in Wichita Falls. In 1994, She received her Bachelor’s in Education from Midwestern State University and moved to the metroplex to teach seventh-grade math in Duncanville. She began working as a veterinary assistant part-time while still teaching and eventually quit teaching to work in the veterinary field full-time. In August 1998, Kristen began working at Farrell Animal Hospital and went back to school at Cedar Valley College. She received an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in August 2000.
Kristen lives in Arlington with her dog, Teddy, and her cat, Captain. In her spare time, she trains and competes with her horse, Honey (her very beautiful rescue), in dressage competitions.
Samantha Abeln, LVT*
Samantha has been with Farrell since August 2012. She grew up in Richardson, TX and attended Berkner High School. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin. She was a high school math teacher for four years before deciding to go back to school to pursue a career as a vet tech. While attending Cedar Valley College, she began working at Farrell as an assistant and became an LVT a year later. She resides in Arlington with her dog, Sadie, and cats, Gus and Catherine. In her spare time, Samantha enjoys playing soccer and playing the oboe in the Arlington Community Band.
Danielle Garcia, Practice Manager
Danielle has been with Farrell Animal Hospital since November 2017. She lives in Haslet, Tx with her husband Dr. Andrew Garcia. Their family includes three horses, three dogs, and two cats. Danielle has been working in vet clinics her entire life. She attended the University of Wisconsin River Falls with a pre-vet emphasis. After graduating she decided to move to Texas due to her love of horses. For the last 8 years she has worked as a practice manager in the area. In her spare time she enjoys riding her horses and competing at barrel races.
