Dr. James Turner - Veterinarian

Dr. Jim Turner was born in Tyler, Texas.

Dr. Turner grew up in Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School. After high school he attended Texas A&M University and received his Bachelor's degrees in Animal Science and Veterinary Science. In 1988 he graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Turner first worked for Farrell Animal Hospital in 1980 as an assistant and continued working at Farrell during summers and holidays. In 1988, upon graduation from vet school, Dr. Turner returned to Farrell Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian.

He worked with Dr. J.M. Farrell until 1990, at which time he purchased Farrell Animal Hospital. He served as president of the Tarrant County Veterinary Medical Association in 1993, and as state director for the Texas Veterinary Medical Association in 1994. Dr. Turner lives in Arlington with his wife Mary where they raised their three children, Jamie, Alan, and Wilson.

The Turners have 2 dogs, Maddie and Saturday the Golden Retriever, and one cat, Napoleon.

In his spare time, Dr. Turner enjoys playing music.
